Preschool Ministry
|
| We love children at Forest Lake, and
we strive to make your preschoolers feel safe and loved. Our goal is to share
the love of Christ with every child, and to minister socially and spiritually.
Come and visit the
ARC
(our preschool ministry
center). At Forest Lake that's what everything is about....About
Reaching
Children
for Christ. In the
ARC,
each room is designed to
meet your child's special needs. In each classroom you will find an attractive,
inviting, clean and safe environment where your child can learn and play. Our
teachers are loving, caring people who have joined the Preschool Ministry Team.
They are prepared to make your child's experience a successful one. Your 3 to 5
year old preschooler can stay in the
ARC
for ETC (Extended Teaching Care) while
you attend our 10:30 AM worship service on Sunday mornings.

Children's Ministry
|
|
Children are very important to us at
Forest Lake. We want every child to feel welcome. It is our goal to share the
love of Christ with every child who comes here. We have so much to offer your
child at Forest Lake. Our children's ministry wing is unique and inviting.
CrossROAD Children's Ministry understands that kids are at a cross
road in life. It is our mission to help each child find the way of life and
truth. We offer special events each week to help your child discover which way
to go.

Sundays:
Every Sunday morning at 9:30AM we get
to go to Bible Study! Caring leaders in clean, pretty rooms have prepared for a
special time to learn about God.
|
|
At 10:30AM our service of worship
begins. We enjoy this
time as we join our parents in praise, prayer and worship. Our Children
often lead in worship through our Creative Ministries of Drama
Kids, Stix and Kid's Puppets and our Kid's Praise Band. The Children's
Creative Ministries Teams are a branch of the CiA program.
These teams use puppets, drama and interpretive music, which uses signing and
dowel rods, to share our Faith with others. For the practice times of the
Creative Ministries Teams or to get more information about the Kid's Praise
Band, please call the church office at 205-759-1569.

5:00-7:00PM we meet for Kid's
Activities. Mr. Matt Hirsch is our Kid's Activity Director. He is
leading a great Kid's Discipleship Group called Now that I'm a Christian.
Bring your first through sixth graders for the activity based class. |

Wednesdays:
At 6PM we have TeamKID! This is a fast-paced, activity-based
discipleship program for kids grades 1-5. Coaches Andy and Ann
Campbell really know how to make learning fun and challenging. The
TeamKID motto is: Loving God, Understanding the Bible and Living for
Jesus.

At
7:00PM we head to CiA’s. That stands for Children in Action . It is a mission program
for children in grades 1 - 6. The children learn about missionaries and their
work around the world and about the areas where they serve. They learn to pray
for missions, give to missions and DO missions through our weekly
meetings and activities. Earning badges for different activities makes CiAs
really fun! At 8PM we head to the Kid's Diner for a little relaxation and
fun while we wait for our parents. It's a great night for our Kids.
